Condor 2

Condor 2 was built in 1968 by Rodriquez. She is as Condor 1 a hydrofoil model PT50, with however some slight differences in her design. Chartered when launched to SNAV, she was chartered between 1969 and 1970 by Condor Ltd as Condor 2 for service between Saint-Malo and the Channel Islands. Indeed, Jersey Line’s bankruptcy enabled Condor to gain passenger on its services, and Condor 1 would not have been able to cope alone with the growing demand. Condor 2 was replaced in September 1970 by Condor 3, a larger hydrofoil built once again by Rodriquez.

Condor 2 was chartered again by Condor Ltd in 1981, in order to replace Condor 6 that did not bring satisfaction to Condor Ltd the previous summer. Her engines were replaced in 1984. She has eventually been scrapped in 2003.
