In late-1969, Condor Ltd decided to replace the chartered Condor 2 by a new purpose-built hydrofoil. Hence, the company ordered to the Rodriquez shipyard a hydrofoil model RHS140 which was to be named Condor 3.

Condor 3 was introduced on the routes linking the Channel Islands to themselves and Saint-Malo in September 1970. Condor 3 was sold in 1979, and replaced the following year with Condor 6.

Belt SA bought her in 1980 for service on a route linking Buenos Aires to Colonia, and renamed her Colonia Del Sacramento. Following a storm, she sank at her berth in 1987. After having been re-floaded, she proved to be in a very poor condition, and never resumed service. Until 2001, when she was scrapped, Colonoa Del Sacramento was use for spare components for the other ships of the fleet.
